
(Bryon Center, MI) Concordia Men's Hockey took to the road Saturday evening for a WHAC matchup at Aquinas. The Cardinals came up short, falling to the Saints, 7-2.
The Cardinals drew first blood when Kyle Hebner buried a pass from Cardon Ediger. Aquinas responded shortly after, but Joseph Lajcaj gave Concordia the lead heading into the first intermission off of Mason Blow's assist.
The Cardinals had two power play opportunities in the second period, but failed to convert both of them. Instead, the Saints we able to score a pair of goals and take their first lead of the game.
Aquinas added to their lead with four goals all within five minutes of each other in the third period. The Cardinals moved from Nolan Foster in goal, to Anthony Seykora who was able to keep the Saints at bay for the remaining 11 minutes.
The Cardinals will next be on the road when they take on Lawrence Tech on Friday, December 6th. Puck drop is set for 8:00 PM at the Redford Ice Arena.
