(Georgetown, KY) The Concordia Cheer team traveled down to Kentucky for their second competition of the season. The Cardinals continued their strong start to the season, winning the event with a score of 86.36.
Concordia posted their second straight score in the 86 range this year and now have an average score of 86.49, the highest in the NAIA.
The Tiger Invite featured some stiff competition, with four of the top six scoring teams in the country at the event. The host, Georgetown College, came in second place just 0.60 points behind the Cardinals. Just over a quarter of a point behind Georgetown was Tennessee Southern followed closely by University of the Cumberlands. Indiana Wesleyan rounded out the top five with an 80.80.
"We are proud of tonight's performance," said Assistant Coach Andrea Casab. "They stepped it up in tumbling and overall impression. We are excited to get this routine ready for next week."
The Cardinals will return to action on Thursday, January 26th when they travel to the Doane Dual in Crete, Nebraska.
