Concordia Dance Team posts highest score in program history on way to second place finish

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Dance Team opened up their season with a home competition on Friday night. The Cardinals would end the night in second place with 73.60, their highest mark since the NAIA made dance a sanctioned sport and implemented the current scoring system.

The Cardinals danced their way to the best score in program history in large part due to the highest jazz performance at the competition. Concordia ended the comp with a subtotal of 75.6, before two points of deductions left them with their final score of 73.60.

"Tonight was a solid start to our competitive season," said Head Coach Beth Strom. "I'm so proud of this team for overcoming obstacles this past week to accomplish a second-place finish against talented teams. We look forward to continuing to progress by working on our technical foundation."

The Cardinals will return to action on Thursday, January 26th when they travel to the Doane Dual in Crete, Nebraska.
