Marian moved up three spots after a 56-10 win over Saint Francis. CUAA will look to remain first place in the MSFA Mideast division with a win.

Marian enters the contest 5-2 overall and ranked #11 in the country. After falling 34-10 to NCAA Division II member Tiffin in their season opener, the Knights put together a 4-game winning streak including an 80-3 win over Madonna. Marian was upset 41-7 by Indiana Wesleyan but defeated Saint Francis (IN) 56-10 last week. Mark Henniger is in his 9th year as head coach.
Player of the Week Honors
Hunter Maynard became the first player in program history to earn MSFA Mideast Defensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row. The senior linebacker recorded 15 total tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss. Maynard added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery which led to a touchdown in the game.

Concordia remained #5 in the country after their 5-0 start to the season. Indiana Wesleyan moved up two spots to #8 while Marian jumped three spots to #11. In the MSFA Midwest, Olivet Nazarene fell seven spots to #19 while Saint Xavier gained two spots at #21. Roosevelt was also receiving votes in the poll.
