(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Mid-States Football Association Mid-East (MSFA)announced their weekly players of the week on Monday afternoon and Concordia Football's Colby Kohmescher earned himself MSFA Defensive Player of the Week honors following the team's 27-10 win over Saint Francis (IN) on Saturday.
Kohmescher, a junior from Linden, Michigan, had one of the best defensive performances in Cardinal history on Saturday as he would pick off the Cougars quarterback a total of three times through the game. His final interception of the afternoon would be taken all the way back to the endzone for a 55-yard touchdown. In addition to the picks, Kohmescher would tack on five total tackles on the day.
Kohmescher joins a trio of Cardinals to have won honors from the MSFA this season as Brandon Stewart, Casey Rauch and Seeger Degayner have all garnered weekly honors this season.
