Eight Football members named to CSC All-District Team

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The College Sport Communicators (CSC) released their 2022 Academic All-District winners on Tuesday afternoon and eight Concordia Cardinals were named as CSC Academic All-District team members. 

 

The Cardinals saw eight players named to the 2022 All-District Team for Football as Harmon DeVries, Gabe Dowling, Will Dowling, Colby Kohmescher, Logan Nahrwold-Settle, Nick Painter, Casey Rauch, and Andrew Wiemer.

 

Harmon DeVries, is a sophomore from Schoolcraft, Michigan, and is studying Secondary Education and has cumulated a GPA of 3.97. 

 

Gabe Dowling, is a junior from Oak Harbor, Ohio, and is studying Secondary Education and has  accumulated a GPA of 3.62

 

Will Dowling, is a junior from Oak Harbor, Ohio, and is studying Special Education. He has accumulated a GPA of 3.57

 

Colby Kohmescher is a junior from Linden, Michigan, and is studying Exercise Science while managing a cumulative GPA of 3.62

 

Logan Nahrwold-Settle is a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is studying Business Management. He has cumulated a GPA of 3.60

 

Nick Painter, is a senior from Garden City, Michigan, and is studying Athletic Training, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.87

 

Casey Rauch, is a junior from Alexandria, Kentucky, and is studying Nursing and has a cumulative GPA of 3.64

 

Andrew Weimer is a junior from Meridian, Idaho, and is studying Exercise Science. He has recorded a GPA of 3.71

 

The 2022 Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

 

College Sport Communicators is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization was previously known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was changed to its new name in August of 2022.

 

Nominees for the All-District team must have participated in at least 50% of the team's matches throughout the season while also maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50. The student-athlete must also complete one full calendar year at the institution and reach sophomore athletic eligibility in order to qualify for the honor.

 

All eight Cardinals will now be placed on the ballot for CSC All-America consideration with those teams being released on December 20th.
