Men's bowling opens season with win at Rochester Classic; Lizewski takes individual competition

(Waterford, MI) Concordia Men's Bowling kicked off their season at the Rochester Classic Saturday. The Cardinals won the event with a score of 7497 and had four bowlers in the top 15. Jeffrey Lizewski won the individual competition followed closely by Brenden Gossman in third.

 

 

Jeffrey Lizewski bowled the fifth best score in program history with a 1083. Lizewski won the event, highlighted by a 279 in his first game.

 

Brenden Gossman also rolled a top-ten performance in program history with a 1066, placing him at tenth in the record books. He placed third at the Rochester Classic with his best game being a 252 in game four.

 

Korey Reichard placed within the top-15 of the event with a 973 through five games bowled. David Schaberg played three games for Concordia and averaged 208.33 pins. Patrick Good Jr. also bowled three games with a 201.33 average.

 

Spencer Mosher bowled two games for an average of 206.5 pins. Alexander Bumpus and Jimmy Hunter bowled a game a piece for 203 and 168 pins respectively.

 

 

Next up for the Cardinals is the Midwest Collegiate Classic starting on October 1st. The competition will be at AMF West in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
