Men's Bowling competes at the Glenn Carlson Invitational

(Las Vegas, NV) - The Men's Bowling team competed at the Glenn Carlson Invite on Sunday and Monday as the team would see a three-spot improvement from day 1 to day 2 as they would end up in 22nd place overall as they would hit a total of 8,415 pins over the 9-round tournament. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Korey Reichard would take the top spot on the team as he ended in 26th place with 1,818 pins while averaging a 202 per game. Jeffrey Lizewski would take the next spot on the team with 42nd place by knocking down 1,766 pins and an average of 196.2 pins. The third top finisher on the team was Brenden Gossman as he hit a total of 1,726 pins. 

 

Three bowlers would not bowl the full 9 games, as David Schaberg would bowl 8 games for the Cardinals with 1,326 pins as he averaged 165.8 pins. Patrick Good went 7 games as he knocked down 1,294 pins and an average of 184.9 pins. The final bowler for the Cardinals was Alexander Bumpus with a total of 485 pins over three games. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Oklahoma Christian University would come away from the 9-rounds with the first place, although Tennessee Southern would take home the championship after fighting through the knockout baker rounds. C.J. Petrin from Oklahoma Christian would win the individual series with a score of 2,130 pins.

The Cardinals will stay in Las Vegas to compete at the Collegiate Shootout over the next two days.
