Men's Soccer falls to Lourdes

(Sylvania, OH) – Concordia men's soccer went on the road Wednesday afternoon to compete against Lourdes in WHAC conference play. The Gray Wolves came out with a fast start, eventually defeating the Cardinals 5-0.

Ryan Webb played a complete game in goal, recording 8 saves in the loss. Luke Neuhaus recorded a shot for the Cardinals in the first half that would go wide. Nyle Ellis would tack on a corner kick soon after for Concordia. Webb would record an impressive 4 saves in the first half, but CUAA trailed 4-0 at the half. 

Ryan Webb would make 4 more saves in the second half as the Cardinal defense held Lourdes nearly the entire second half, conceding a goal with under a minute to play in the game. Chandler Wilson would fire a shot on target for Concordia.

 

The Cardinals will wrap up the season with an away contest against Aquinas on Saturday, October 30th. Kick off is set for 3pm in Grand Rapids, MI.
