Jason Clare comes to Concordia after being the Technical Director of the Under-13-19 level at the Liverpool International Academy in Pontiac, Michigan. Clare was also the Head Coach for the High School level teams and a Performance Training Director.

“Jason Clare brings with him a great amount of soccer coaching experience, both at the collegiate and club level,” says Concordia Athletic Director Lonnie Pries. “Jason is passionate about the game of soccer and building a positive culture in his program. We are excited for our student athletes to be led by Jason as he takes over our men’s program.”

Clare is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff, England where he earned a Sport and Exercise Science Degree. Previous to his work at the Liverpool International Academy, Clare coached five seasons at NCAA Division II, Colorado Mesa University as the Women’s Soccer Head Coach, where he earned a record of 28-46-15. “First of all I am very thankful to Lonnie Pries and the hiring committee for giving me this opportunity to lead the men’s soccer program and represent Concordia University,” says Jason. “It was clear to me from stepping onto campus for the first time that Concordia is unique. The family connection was obvious and called out to me and I knew that this was the right place for me. That feeling has only grown and I feel blessed to be here and call myself a Cardinal. I cannot wait to help contribute for the good of the University and to lead the men’s soccer program on and off the pitch.”
