NCCAA Preview: Men's Track prepared for NCCAA Championships later this Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - Concordia men's track and field travels to Greenville, IL this week for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championships hosted by Greenville University. The Cardinals look to better their 11th-place finish at last year's championships. Events for the Cardinals will take place May 12-13, 2022.

 

Returning NCCAA All-American Kash Warren (Senior; Lorain, OH) will run the 100m, 200m, and 4x100 relay. Warren is a 2021 All-American, taking 3rd place in the 100m dash and running 10.95. Also running in the same three events is freshman Jeremiah Salas (Decatur, MI). Competing alongside Warren and Salas in the 4x100 relay is Jordan Foy (Columbia, SC) and Noah Starkey (Macomb, MI). Starkey will also compete in the 400m event, 4x400, and 4x800.

 

Other 4x400 members include Logan Hay (Houston, TX) Luke Bentz (Fort Wayne, IN), and Mike Brannan (Dearborn Heights, MI). Bentz and Brannan will also run the 4x800 with Starkey and Avery Sanchez (Allen Park, MI). Brannan will also compete in the javelin throw. 

 

Fellow NCCAA qualifying throwers include Scott Smith (Saginaw, MI) and Richard Branch (Detroit, MI) who will compete in the javelin alongside Brannan. Branch returns to NCCAAs after a 5th place finish in the 2021 outdoor championships. He's currently ranked 2nd. Branch also qualified and will compete in the men's shot put. Zachary Belinsky (Beulah, MI) is a first-time hammer qualifier and in addition, will also compete in the discus throw.
