Men's Cross Country finishes season at WHAC Championships

(Fort Wayne, IN) Concordia men's cross country competed Saturday November 6 at the WHAC Championships, hosted by Indiana Tech. The Donald Ross Golf Course was home to the 8k race and featured a relatively flat course. With fierce WHAC competition, Concordia posted an 11th place finish and sophomore Theodore Eising (Royal Oak, MI) was named the team's Champion of Character.

 

First across the finish line for the Cardinals was freshman Luke Bentz (Fort Wayne, IN) who cracked the top 100 runners, running 29:50.8. Eising was second for Concordia and ran a personal best time of 30:28.3.  Coming in one after the other was Avery Sanchez  (Junior; Allen Park, MI), Noah Starkey (Sophomore; Macomb, MI), and Noah Finley (Freshman; Monroe, MI). Sanchez posted a time of 33:15.4 and Starkey with a time of 33:31.9. Finley crossed the line at 33:59.0, a personal best for him.

 

Senior Adam DiMaggio (Irmo, SC) wrapped up the course for the Cardinals, running 38:41.3.

 

This concludes the cross country season for the Cardinals. The team will take a brief hiatus before getting ready for the indoor track & field season opener on Friday, December 3 at the University of Findlay.
