Women's Bowling end WHAC Jamboree #1 in Fourth

(Sterling Heights, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team headed to Sterling Heights for the first of four WHAC Jamborees at 5 Star Lanes. The Cardinals would bowl solid throughout the day in individual and baker games but would ultimately finish in fourth place behind Indiana Tech, Lourdes, and Madonna. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

The Cardinal's top finisher for the day was Gabriella Van Horn with 752 total pins, ending up in 16th place overall. Close behind her in the standings was Isabell Cooley who finished in 19th place as she was able to knock over 738 pins. The last Cardinal to bowl in all four games was Emilee Hughes as she hit just over 700 pins at 706. 

 

Three bowlers finished out the final eight games as Brook Binder, Alyvia Hock, and Shannon Lewan would split those games up. Binder in her three games would hit 574 pins, Hock would bowl two games and hit 361 pins and finally, Lewan would bowl three games and knock over 497 pins.

 

JV CARDINALS

The JV team would finish in first place for the JV side of things as they would combine to hit 6315 total pins.

 

Bailey Tomlin would wind up being the top individual finisher overall for the tournament as she would knock down a program-record 854 pins over her four-game series. Emily Morris would be second on the team with 726 pins, while Amanda Fisher would finish third with 708. Ashley Kreger and Kara Ward would round out the JV team with 675 and 606 pins respectively. 

 

JAMBOREE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

The Indiana Tech Warriors would wind up coming away from the tournament as the overall winner as they knocked down almost 300 more pins than second-place Lourdes University at 6861 pins. 

 

The individual winner would be Bailey Tomlin from CUAA as apart of the JV team she tallied 854 total pins as she topped second-place Bailey Gibson (LTU) by 17 pins. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will head to the American Heartland Tournament in Canton, Michigan the last weekend of October on the 29th and 30th.
