Women's Bowling competes at the BGSU Falcon Classic

(Sandusky, OH) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team traveled to Sandusky, Ohio to Star Lanes to compete at the BGSU Fall Classic on Saturday. The team would see a sixth-place finish at the tournament and would have top finisher Gabriella VanHorn finish atop of the CUAA leaderboard with a 13th-place finish. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

VanHorn was the top finisher for the Cardinals as she was able to tally a score of 926 as she averaged 185.2 pins. Shannon Gieger was not far behind as she totaled 910 pins with an average of 182. Emilee Hughes finished with a score of 838 pins and 167.6 pins. 

 

Bowling in four of the five games was Brooke Binder hit 698 pins and an average of 174.5. Isabell Cooley bowled three three games for the Cardinals at 497 pins and 165.7 average. Amanda Fisher bowled two games and hit 347 pins overall. The final game was bowled by Arielle Oakley with a score of 146. 

 

JV CARDINALS

Summer Cowgar fished atop of the Cardinal JV leaderboard as she totaled 860 pins and a 172 average. Next up was Emily Morris with a score of 846 and an average of 169.2. Bailey Tomlin ended the tournament with a score of 806 an average of 161.2. Kara Ward and Ashley Kreger would end the tournament three pins apart at 769 and 766 pins respectively. 

 

JAMBOREE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Indiana Tech took home the team championship with a score of 6824, while Leeah Wade form Bethel University finished in first with a score of 1074.

The next match for the Cardinals is the third WHAC Jamboree of the season, with this one being hosted at the Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan which will be held on December 10th.
