(Sault Ste. Marie, MI) - The Concordia Women's Hockey team continued their road trip as they faced off against the Lake Superior State Lakers for the second straight day. The Lakers earned their revenge against the Cardinals as they would wind up pulling out a 3-1 win.
The Lakers grabbed the lead in the first period just 2:22 into the match. The Cardinals were able to put up six shots in the period.
After another Laker goal to open up the period the Cardinals were short-handed when Grace Dodgson netted her third goal of the weekend with just under four minutes left to bring the Cardinals to within one goal again.
None of the Cardinal's seven shots hit the back of the net as LSSU put up their third goal, a short-handed one of their own, to put the game away.
Lennon received the loss in goal and moved to 2-4 on the season. She tallied 43 saves in the game.
The Cardinals are back in action after Thanksgiving when they host #4 Adrian College at the Arctic Edge on December 6 with a 8 PM puck drop.
