Women's Soccer concludes season with draw at Cornerstone

(Grand Rapids, MI) The Concordia women's soccer team concluded their season with a road contest at Cornerstone Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals fought hard in a scoreless draw against the Golden Eagles.

 

Hayley Jacobson and the Cardinal defense in front of her recorded a clean sheet with the Cardinal keeper recording 8 saves.

 

The Cornerstone attack fired off 17 shots throughout the match with 8 of them being on goal. They generated 10 corners, but the Cardinal defense was able to keep the ball out of the net.

 

The Cardinal offense was only able to get two shots off during the game with Katelyn Aiello and Danielle Bracken both having one each.

 

 

The match at Cornerstone concluded the Cardinals season as they ended in the WHAC with a four way tie for eighth. Cornerstone won the final bid into the WHAC playoffs with the best record against the other three teams at 1-0-2.
