Women's Cross Country ends 2022 Season at the WHAC Championships

The Women's Cross Country team competed in the WHAC Championships held by Lourdes University at the Ottawa Park Golf Course. The team showed great strength and fought to battle for any position they could get.

Chloe Gunter continued to pace the way for the Cardinals by finishing in a time of 23:18. Alison Doerr and Mary Salem stepped up to help out the team. Doerr finished second on the team with a time of 24:55. Salem finished third on the team with a time of 25:05. Fogo was able to push through an injury and finished in a time of 25:26. Seraphina Ferrell rounded out the team score as the fifth runner to cross for the Cardinals in a time of 31:18.

The Women's team finished 10th overall as a team with a score of 295 points. The team had Madelyn Ankoviak was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team. The team will take some well-needed rest before switching to track. They will make their first appearance at the Defiance Invitational on January 14.
