Men's Hockey's Seykora grabs WHAC Weekly Honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their weekly players of the week on Monday afternoon and Men's Hockey's Anthony Seykora earned the defensive honors for the conference this past week.

Seykora, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, played the full 60 minutes in goal for the Cardinals in Saturday's 6-1 win over Aquinas. The sophomore faced 34 shots throughout the match and would be able to get a glove on 33 of them. The 0.971 save percentage this game was the highest on the season for Seykora.

Seykora joins fellow Cardinal goalie Zachary Janis by receiving player of the week honors this season. This will be the third WHAC Player of the Week honor Seykora earned, winning twice last season.

The Cardinals head out on the road for a two-game series against Roosevelt this upcoming weekend. The games will be on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19.
