Jacob Henry named WHAC and NCCAA Pitcher of the Week

NCCAA RELEASE

 

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and National Christian College Athletic Association announced their weekly player of the week recipients on Monday afternoon and Jacob Henry was named the WHAC and NCCAA baseball pitcher of the week.  

 

Henry led the Cardinals on the mound in game two against Spring Arbor last week. Henry went the distance and some using 10 innings of work to record the complete game 4-1 win. Henry recorded a season high 9 strikeouts and only allowed one run on three scattered hits. Henry showed his toughness on the mound, getting out of a bases loaded jam with one out in the 6th inning.

 

In 9 appearances on the mound this season, Henry has gone 4-2 as this was his first complete game. In 30 innings of works, Henry has recorded 34 strikeouts which is second on the team.

 

This is the first time that Henry has been recognized by the WHAC and NCCAA for his performances. Henry joins teammates Timothy Pomaville, and Tyson Kleinfelter as the other Cardinals to be recognized by the NCCAA and WHAC this season.

 

The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, May 1st when they face Madonna.
