Cheer comes away victorious from Doane Dual

(Crete, NE) Concordia Cheer competed in a dual at Doane University Thursday evening. The Cardinals had to rework their routine before the start of the competition, but were sill able to defeat Doane with a score of 73.45.

 

Concordia boasted a high average of 9.25 overall difficulty in the competition. Despite last minute changes to the routine, the Cardinals were able to reach a subtotal of 74.20. Three quarters of a point in deductions brought them down to 73.45.

 

The Cards won the dual by nearly eight points over the hosting Tigers, who finished with 65.60 points.

 

"We are very proud of this team for securing another win as they continue to gain momentum and battle through adversity and changes this January," said Head Assistant Coach Shanitra Cheff. "Repeatedly, they show up and do the work needed to accomplish the goals they have set."

 

Next up for the Cardinals will be the CIT Cheer Competition at 10:45 AM Saturday morning.
