Dance surpasses their program record best score at Doane Dual

(Crete, NE) The Concordia Dance Team returned to action Thursday night for a dual at Doane University, a program that earned a trip to the NAIA Championships last season. For the second competition in a row, the Cardinals set the highest score in program history, with a 73.90. The mark was ultimately not enough to overcome the Tigers, who would go on to win the dual.

The Cardinals surpassed their previous high mark, by 0.30 points, in large part due to zero deductions in their performance. Concordia also saw improvements in their team turn sequence marks. The team currently sits at 10th in the NAIA in season average score with a 73.75 through two events.

Doane won the dual with a score of 82.50 which will put them at 6th in the NAIA for average score.

"Tonight was another solid performance for our team," said Head Coach Beth Strom. "We improved overall in execution of our team technical skills especially the team turn sequence. We are excited to get the routine ready for our next competition and continue to focus on our progression."

Next up on the Cardinals' schedule is their CIT competition set for 10:00 AM on Saturday morning.
