Esports raises over $2,000 for Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak

For the second year in a row, the Concordia University Ann Arbor Esports program participated in Extra Life's official Game Day on Saturday, November 6th. The purpose of this event is for participants to stream themselves playing games with the intent of raising money for their Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. In this case, the nearest hospital in that network in relation to Concordia is Beaumont Children's Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, which will receive 100% of the proceeds.

The team once again, this year represented by 11 of their athletes, worked together to collectively stream for 24 hours straight on Game Day, playing from midnight to midnight. Over that 24-hour period, the team raised just over $1900 for Beaumont Children's Hospital. At the time of this writing, the total has now surpassed $2100 with more team members slated to stream over the remaining weeks of the year while the fundraiser remains open. If you'd like to donate, you can do so at the team's Extra Life page until the end of 2021.
