Brooks nabs second MSFA Honor of season

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Mid-States Football Association Mid-East (MSFA) announced their weekly player of the week recipients on Monday afternoon and Freshman Gabe Whitmore was named the MSFA Mideast Offensive Player of the Week.

 

Brooks, a freshman, had his best day to date in a Cardinal uniform as he threw for five touchdowns and 271 yards in the afternoon in the 42-21 win over Lawrence Tech. Brooks was also able to complete 23 of his 32 passes which was good enough for a 71.9 completion percentage. He also added 16 rushing yards on three attempts. 

 

Brooks joins Andrew Foerster, Hunter Maynard, and Gabe Whitmore as the Cardinals to receive MSFA recognition this season. This is the second time he has won this honor this season. He also has previously won an NCCAA Player of the Week honor. 

 

Brooks and the Cardinals will be back on the field this Saturday, November 6 as they play host to Madonna on Senior Day with a 1 PM kickoff.
