Degayner named to AP All-American Second Team

 (Kansas City, MO) - The Associated Press (AP) have announced the 2022 Fall AP All-America Teams on Friday afternoon and Junior Seeger DeGayner was named to the All-America Second Team. 

 

Seeger DeGayner, a junior from Grand Blanc, Michigan, was a second team selection as an return specialist on special teams this season after leading the NAIA in kickoff return average (44.1) and touchdowns (3), while also having the second longest return of the season (100). DeGayner would also tally the 13th most All-Purpose Yards on the season as well with 1382 yards.

 

This season Degayner was also named to the NAIA and MSFA First Team as a returner, while earning second team MSFA as a Wide Receiver. He also won four player of the week honors, with three from the MSFA and one coming from the NCCAA. 

 

Degayner joins 2021 AP All-Americans Casey Rauch and Luke Wilson as the only players to be named to the Associated Press All-America Teams in Cardinal Football program history.
