Gossman and Men’s Bowling each finish in third place at first WHAC Jamboree

(Fort Wayne, IN) The Concordia University men's bowling traveled to Fort Wayne on Saturday to compete in the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree of the season with the tournament hosted by Indiana Tech. Nine other teams competed at the event with the Cardinals. 

 

The jamboree featured four games and four baker sets. In the individual games, the Cardinals scored 931, 1013, 912, and 1073 respectively. Up next came the baker games that saw the Cardinals knock out 818, 787, 750, and 749 pins respectively. The Cards left the jamboree with a third-place finish, knocking out a total of 7033 pins.

 

The top finisher for the Cards was Brenden Gossman, who was named to the All-Tournament team, bowled in all four games scoring 870 pins, and ended up with a third-place finish. Other Cardinal bowlers that bowled four games were Logan Teubert (t9th place) and Jeffrey Lizewski were able to knock down 827 and 746 pins respectively. Korey Reichard bowled three games while tallying 577 pins. Kyle Lewis and Izaac Georgen bowled two games each while recording scores of 391 and 337 respectively.

 

Indiana Tech took the top spot at the event as they were able to knock down 7585 pins throughout the eight games. Marcus McClain, also from Indiana Tech, came in first by hitting 942 pins. 

 

The next event for the Cardinals will be in two weeks as they travel to the Cornerstone invite on October 16.
