Men's Bowling takes second at Falcon Classic

(Bowling Green, OH) The Concordia men's bowling team competed at the BGSU Falcon Classic this Saturday and took 2nd place out of the 23 varsity teams at the event. The Cardinals finished with a total of 8,015 pins, just 20 less than first place. The four Cardinals who bowled in all five games each finished within the top 25.

 

 

Patrick Good Jr. led the Cardinals in total pins with 1,097 on the day. The sophomore finished in 8th place in the individual competition and bowled Concordia's second highest game of the day with a 267.

 

Korey Reichard came in 15th place with a 217 average, followed closely by Brenden Gossman with 215. Gossman bowled Concordia's highest score with a 275 in his second game. Kyle Lewis averaged 208.8 pins throughout his five games, landing him in 25th.

 

Izaac Georgen bowled in four games for Concordia and averaged the highest score among the Cardinals with a 226.5 per game average. Alexander Bumpus bowled in one game, scoring a 221.

 

WHAC opponent Indiana Tech took first place in the team competition with 8,035 pins. It was the Warriors' James Bennett who won the individual competition with a 240.6 pin average.

 

 

The Cardinals will be back in action at Royal Scott Lanes in Lansing on December 4th for their third WHAC Jamboree of the season.
