Men's Bowling takes home a third place finish at the BGSU Falcon Classic

(Sandusky, OH) - The Men's Bowling team traveled to Ohio for their latest tournament as they went to Cedar Lanes in Sandusky, Ohio to compete at the BGSU Falcon Classic. The team as a whole would finish in third place and would see Korey Reichard take home an 8th place finish. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Reichard was the top finisher for the Cardinals in eighth place as he was able to knock down a total of 1087 pins as he averaged 217.4 pins. The second finisher for the varsity team was Brenden Gossman with 1033 pins and an average of 206.6 pins. Jeffrey Lizewski was right behind him with 1031 pins. 

 

David Schaberg finished in fourth on the team with 896 pins over the four game he bowled. Patrick Good bowled three games and hit 570 pins overall. Hunter Fletcher and Spencer Mosher were the final two bowlers for the team with 408 pins (2 games) and 138 pins (1 game). 

 

JV CARDINAL RESULTS

For the JV team Caleb Gard finished the tournament in 18th place earning a spot on the All Tournament Team after finishing 3rd in the JV division. Gard knocked down 1039 pins while averaging 207.8 pins. Alexander Bumpus and Logan Teubert finished back-to-back knocking down 1014 and 1012 pins respectively. Marek Bernhardt was the final bowler for the JV team with 751 pins. 

 

ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS

Reichard's score of 1087 was the fourth-highest 5-game series in Cardinal program history. 

 

JAMBOREE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

The top team at the tournament was Notre Dame College as they knocked over 7956 total pins, while they also took the top two individual spots as Romeo Patrick-Holmes beat out his teammate with a score of 1201.

The next match for the Cardinals is the third WHAC Jamboree of the season, with this one being hosted at the Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan which will be held on December 10th.
