Heinlein posts two different school records at LTU Heritage Collegiate

(Shepherdsville, KY) - The Concordia University men's golf team closed out their 2021 fall season as they traveled to Shepherdsville, KY to compete at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate. The team saw mixed results as overall they finished 9th out of the 10 teams that were present. 

 

Neil Heinlein highlighted the tournament as he posted the lowest score in program history as he tied Brayden Bennett, Nolan Lane, and Joe Pagliaro with a score of 73. His two day total was also the best in program history with a score of 153 as he bested Gibsyn Martin by six strokes. 

 

Joshua Line and Dalton Stiegler were the next two top finishers for the Cards as they posted scores of 166 and 172 respectively. Nick Althouse was the next top finisher for the Cardinals with a 176. The final three Cardinals at the event were Gibson Wilke, Travis Lysiak and Zach Burke who all scored 182.

 

University of the Cumberlands and Midway University both ended in first place after the two-day event as they each tallied a score of 584. Lawrence Tech's Luis Pacheco and UNOH's Michael Robson won the event hitting a 143.

 

The Cardinals will return to the same golf course next spring for their next match as they will compete at the second LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate on March 26 and 27.
