Women's Golf tees off season at Lourdes Invitational

(Ottawa Lake, MI) The Concordia women's golf program started off their 2021-22 campaign at the Lourdes Invitational in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, this Tuesday. Three golfers represented Concordia in the event with Rachel Costello leading the Cardinals.

 

Costello scored a round of 96 at the Legacy Golf Course, making her 22nd in the individual competition. The sophomore put up the same exact score that she had last season at the event, also coming in 22nd last year. Rachel Yuhas finished at 105 on the day for Concordia, competing in her first collegiate competition. Amelia Black rounded out the Cardinals' efforts with a round of 124.

 

Lourdes and Siena Heights shared the win in the team competition with a tie at 345 strokes. UNOH's Sharifah Binyahya won the individual competition with a 76-stroke round.

 

The Cardinals will be back on the course next Monday and Tuesday at the Bill Bockwitz Classic. The event is set to take place at Timber Ridge Golf Club in East Lansing, Michigan.
