Women's Hockey picks up win at Michigan State

(East Lansing, MI) Concordia Women's Hockey returned to the ice on Sunday for a game at Michigan State. After losing the game at home on Friday, the Cardinals bounced back with a 2-1 victory on Sunday.

Molly Burks started in goal for Concordia and accumulated 40 saves while only allowing one goal.

The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead with Aaliyah James netting an unassisted goal two minutes into the game.

Emma Shore scored the Cardinals second, and eventual game winning goal in the second period. Makayla Steinmetz assisted on the goal.

The Spartans scored early on in the third period, but it was too little, too late as the Cardinals went on to earn their fifth win of the season.

The Cardinals will be back in action next weekend when they host Grand Valley on Friday, January 20th. Puck drop is set for 8:00 PM at the Arctic Coliseum in Chelsea, Michigan.
