About the Racers

The Racers this season finished with a 10-5-3 overall record and a 7-2-2 WHAC record. UNOH started their season by playing five non-conference teams that were ranked in the NAIA poll including #3 Spring Arbor and #7 Marian. UNOH has won the WHAC tournament four times previously with their last championship coming back in 2019.

On the offensive end, Ariana Mondiri leads the Racers with 17 goals. Patricia Gomez Nogureras and Nanna Rosengreen both have tallied five assists on the season.

Martina Galloni has started all but one game in goal for UNOH tallying 1503:20 minutes and 61 saves. She has allowed 21 goals which average out to 1.26 goals per game.

About the Cardinals

Concordia this season finished with an overall record of 10-5-2 and a 4-4-2 conference record. The Cardinals started off the season strong after winning multiple one-goal games, including two in double overtime. The Cardinals have made the WHAC tournament for 12 consecutive years.

Leading the Cards statistically were Isabel Stropich and Megan Starkey as they scored seven and five goals respectively. Five players on the team, Danielle Bracken, Allison Lentz, Kendra Lewis, Samantha Putnam, and Hazel Wright, tallied two assists apiece.

In goal, Anna Roman has provided 1308:45 minutes while only allowing 13 goals. She has also collected 96 saves this season and owns 0.89 goals-against the average per game. Hayley Jacobson has played in seven games this season seeing 291:50 minutes while allowing three goals. She has also tallied 23 saves in those minutes and owns a 0.93 goals-against average.

In Case You Missed It

The last time that these two teams played each other was back on October 6 when the Racers came to Ferry Field. At that point in the season, the Cardinals were 2-1-1 in WHAC play while the Racers came in at 3-0-1.

In the game, the Cardinals were able to come out with a score right away in the second minute of the game as Kendra Lewis drove up the middle of the field and scored, with an assist coming from Megan Starkey, as that was the only goal of the first half. The second half saw CUAA score just about as quickly, this time three minutes into the second half, as Danielle Bracken was able to make the cross to Isabel Stropich who was able to get it just past the goalie for the 2-0 lead.

That was all the scoring in the game for the Cardinals as UNOH would grab two goals, one from Shakira O'Malley in the 73rd minute and the other from Ariana Mondiri in the 87th minute. Both teams would battle throughout the two overtime periods, but neither was able to come away with the win as the teams left with a 2-2 tie.
