(Fort Wayne, IN) – The Concordia Cardinals volleyball team ended the regular season last Saturday with a win over Northwestern Ohio, and this Wednesday they will look to continue that as they go up against Indiana Tech with a chance to advance to the semifinal round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament.

About the Warriors
The Warriors ended the regular season winning their final two games and bringing their overall record to 23-12 with a 15-5 WHAC record. Indiana Tech started the season with four of their first seven games being ranked in the top-25. All-time the Warriors have won the WHAC regular season four times from 2008-2011 while also winning the tournament title from '09-'11 as well.
The Warriors have a balanced offensive attack as Emma Westra, Taylor Paul, Noelle VanOort and Madelyn Omo have all recorded over 250 kills, with the first three all over 300. The Indiana Tech top setter, Andrea Schriver, has recorded 795 kills on the season while Kelsey Scaldenbrand has 439 assists.
Leading the backline of the defense is Jacey Blust and Noelle VanOort with 620 digs an d306 digs respectively. Madelyn Omo has also been a key defender up close on the net as she has tallied 126 blocks throughout the season.
About the Cardinals
The Cardinals ended the regular season splitting their final four games and finished the regular season with a record of 14-16 and an even 10-10 WHAC record. Overall the Cardinals improved their season record by six wins and have shown improvement every year under Head Coach Danielle Cook.
Offensively the Cardinals are led by Kayla Peters, Breann June and Kaitlin Veihl as they top the Cardinals kills list with 399, 282 and 233 respectively. Abigail Austin is the top assister on the as she has collected 1119 assists on the season, which is ninth all-time for a single season.
McKenzie Peters, Abigail Austin and Kayla Peters anchor the backline of the defense with 580, 397 and 360 digs respectively. Kaitlin Veihl, Madalyn Lisman, Tara Drinane and Kayla Peters have all recorded over 40 blocks this season as Veihl leads the team with 74 blocks.

These two teams have battled twice this season with Indiana Tech coming out on top both times.
The first time these two teams played was back on September 29 when the Warriors won 3-0. Kayla Peters led the team with six kills, while Abigail Austin had 19 assists and 12 digs to lead the team. Following that match the Cards were able to get hot and proceed to go on a five-game winning streak.
The last time these two teams played was on October 27 when the Warriors came to Cardinal Fieldhouse. Indiana Tech won the first two sets of the match while the Cardinals would win the third before the Warriors would win the fourth and final set. Kayla Peters would once again lead the Cards with 14 kills while Abigail Austin had 30 assists and McKenzie Peters had 21 digs.
