Seykora and Tayles sweep WHAC Player of the Week honors for Men's Hockey

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced the second round of men's hockey player of the week and both Brayden Tayles and Anthony Seykora won awards. Tayles won offensive player of the week, while Seykora was named defensive play of the week for their efforts in the games against Toledo.

Tayles, a freshman, was impressive in the second series of his young career as he tallied two goals and two assists in the two games. On Friday he scored his first career goal in the second period. Heading into Saturday's game he was able to put up another goal, which was the first goal of the game, and was short-handed, while adding two assists on the game.

Seykora, a freshman, won his second game in net for the Cardinals as he was able to pick up the shutout in the game as well. Throughout the night he stopped multiple solid chances from the Rockets attack as he recorded 32 saves over the course of the game.

The Cardinals men's hockey team will be back in action on Friday, October 22 as they will travel to Cleary University with a 5 PM puck drop.
