Indiana Tech edges out Men's Hockey 2-1

(Canton, MI) Concordia Men's Hockey returned to their home ice Saturday evening for a second matchup against the #12 Indiana Tech Warriors. The Cardinals got on the board first, but Indiana Tech responded quickly with a pair of goals, which proved to be the winning edge.

Anthony Seykora started between the pipes and stopped 38 shots. Nicholas Twombley was the lone goal scorer for Concordia.

The Cardinals got off to a quick start when Nicholas Twombley scored off of the assists from Bryce Iott and Kyle Hebner. About five minutes later the Warriors equalized, and then just over a minute after that claimed their one goal advantage going into the first intermission.

The second period was filled with seven different penalties, but neither team was able to convert on their power play chances, keeping the game at 2-1 in favor of the Warriors.

The third period was much like the second, with no goals scored, even with power play chances for both sides. Concordia pulled their goalie in the final minute, but the Warriors held firm to preserve their 2-1 win.

Next up for Concordia will be a series against Aquinas, starting with a home game on Friday, November 10th. Puck drop is set for 6:00 PM at the Arctic Edge.
