Drew Fleming dubbed NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly Player of the Week awards and Concordia Cardinals baseball player Drew Fleming picked up his third NCCAA Player of the Week award of his career and second of this season.

 

Fleming, a senior from Davison, Michigan, continued his dominance at the plate as he led the team with 9 hits, 5 home runs, and 10 RBI on the week. The Cardinals first baseman hit for a .529 average on the week, while his 7 extra base hits gave him a 1.529 slugging percentage. Fleming is currently first in the NCCAA in home runs, hits, RBI, and on base + slugging percentage.

 

Fleming joins Tyler Wressel as an NCCAA Player of the Week honoree for the Cardinals this season.

 

The Cardinals will enter the postseason, hosting one half of the WHAC Tournament as the second seed. They will take on Siena Heights Wednesday, May 1st with first pitch set for 10:00 AM.
