Concordia Dance Team sets highest home score in program history at Cardinal Invite

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia Dance Team hosted their Cardinal Invite Saturday morning and posted the highest score at a home event in their program history. The Cardinals scored a 76.50, putting them at third place at the event.

The Cardinals received scores of 4 or higher (out of 5) across the officials panel in the pom and team turn sequence. Concordia had a raw total of 79.00, but 2.5 points in deductions brought them to a score of 76.50 in the end. The score was not only their highest of the season by over 10 points, but was also the best score on their home floor in program history.

"I'm very proud of what the team performed on the floor today, especially after a challenging week," said Head Coach Beth Strom. "It's fantastic that they not only met our team goal for this week, but to achieve the highest home score ever on record is quite an accomplishment. We look forward to continuing to work on execution of skills on the competitive floor as we turn our attention to the heart of our season."

The Concordia Dance Team will have a dual against Loyola University New Orleans in the coming weeks before traveling to University of the Cumberlands on Saturday, March 2nd.
