Esports Weekly Update (September 25 - October 1)

In WHAC Esports action, the Rocket League team improved its record to 2-4 on the season with a 3-0 sweep of Siena Heights, winning by scores of 5-1, 4-1, and 3-2 in the best-of-five set. Clayton "OG Waffle" Hoskins led the team in scoring with 7 goals over the three games. Shayne "Sherni-'' Erni added 4 goals and 6 assists. Darren "finessekid3" Mitchelson also had a goal, 3 assists, and 4 saves. With the completion of that game, the team returns to the top of the schedule to play against each team one more time before the live playoffs in November. The next game is against second-place 4-2 Aquinas on Thursday, October 7th at 9:00 pm.

Fortnite began the season on Wednesday, September 27th with returning captain Zach "Zburk24" Burk finishing in the top 25% of players in the country in PlayVS. He'll continue his season this upcoming Wednesday.

 

The Madden season began for real this past Tuesday, September 26th with a 3-0 win for Drew "Drewfighter1281'' Burk over Nichols College. He won the first game 39-30, the second 25-23, and the third by forfeit. He plays against Ottawa University next. On the Xbox side, Freshman Jordan Ponce lost 3-0 to State College of Florida and will play against Western Kentucky.
