(Ann Arbor, MI) - When the Concordia Cardinals football team kicks off their 2022 season, they will be kicking off their 11th season as a varsity program.

The program has come a long way over the past ten years, as they were able to improve their win total from 2013-2018 going from one win to 10 wins. The team as a whole has competed in the past five National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Football Championship Series, making it to the quarterfinals three of those years. In addition, in the past two seasons, the Cardinals won two conference championships as a part of the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA).

The Cardinals have seen seven players named to the NAIA All-American team, led by Donovan Corlew being named twice in both 2018 and 2019. Three Cardinals were named to the College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) All-America team. A stunning 102 Cardinals were named to the MSFA Mid-East teams between the first, second and honorable mention teams.

In order to celebrate the past 10 seasons as a Cardinal varsity program, the team would like to celebrate players from the past by creating an All-Decade Team. The team will honor 1 quarterback, 1 running back, 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, 5 offensive linemen, 1 kicker, 1 punter, 4 defensive linemen, 3 linebackers, and 4 defensive backs.
