WEEK 1 GAME NOTES: FOOTBALL PREPS FOR HOME OPENER AGAINST TAYLOR

(Ann Arbor, MI) – Concordia football will be preparing this week for their home opener against Taylor to start MSFA Mideast play. The Cardinals will be looking to improve on a 5-5 season last year while the Trojans start the year 1-0 after a 37-34 win over Saint Ambrose.

Taylor enters the young season with 1-0 record. The Trojans downed Saint Ambrose 37-34 last week in an MSFA crossover game. The lead changed hands several times before quarterback Damon Hockett rushed for a game-winning 24-yard touchdown with 9 seconds remaining. Head coach Aaron Mingo enters his 3rd season.
