Men's Golf finishes third at second Lourdes Invitational

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia University Cardinals men's golf team traveled to the Lourdes Invitational for the second time this season competing at the Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, OH. The Cardinals finished third out of the four teams that were competing at the event with a team score of 338.

 

Joshua Line was the top golfer on the day for Concordia as he finished in 12th place and ended with a score of 81. Neil Heinlein and Dalton Steigler were the next two top finishers as they finished 16th and 22nd respectively with scores of 84 and 86 respectively. The final two team finishers for the Cardinals were Nick Althouse and Zach burk as they ended with scores of 87 and 89 respectively. 

 

Concordia had four individuals competing at the event as individuals as Will Hieber (84) finished in 16th place. Gibson Wilke (88), Andrew Burk (92), and Travis Lysiak (95) finished in 25th, 30th, and 34th respectively. 

 

As they did at the first Lourdes Invitational, Siena Heights won the event scoring a 302 team score. Also from Siena Heights, Ben Ellis won the event shooting par on the day. 

 

The Cardinals will be back in action next week as they travel to compete at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate in Sheperdsville, KY starting on Monday October 18.
