Men's Soccer falls to WHAC leader Indiana Tech

(Fort Wayne, IN) – Concordia men's soccer went on the road Wednesday afternoon to compete against Indiana Tech in WHAC conference play. The Warriors entered the contest in first place in the WHAC, featuring a 12-1-1 overall record and a 6-0-1 conference record. CUAA weathered a heavy barrage of shots in the first half, but Indiana Tech eventually pulled away for a 6-0 win.

 

Kyri Wixom played a complete game in goal, recording 15 total saves. Wixom remained sharp with multiple saves early in the contest. Austin Corona took a pair of corner kicks around the 12th minute, but Indiana Tech spent most of the first half on offense. While the Cardinal defense held strong for most of the half, the Warriors added a goal in the final minute to lead 1-0 at halftime.

Kyri Wixom made three early saves in the second half. Bryce Schaner took a shot on goal early in the half that was saved by Indiana Tech. The Warriors began to pull away with five more goals in the half, securing a 6-0 win as time expired.

 

Concordia will return home on Saturday, October 23 when they host rival Siena Heights at 3pm.
