Men's Tennis takes down Manchester 6-1

(Ann Arbor, MI) Concordia Men's Tennis hosted Manchester Wednesday afternoon for a non-conference match. The Cardinals won the match in convincing fashion over the Spartans, 6-1.

 

Concordia won the doubles point, taking all three matches. Jordan Conn and Andrew Dobbs swept their #2 match, while Benjamin King and Edward Lupas earned the win in the top slot with a 6-2 score. Ethan Hiltz and Logan Fuller won by default in the third match.

 

Andrew Dobbs and Jordan Conn swept their #2 and #3 Singles matches respectively. In the top match, Benjamin King earned the point for the Cards, only dropping on game. Logan Fuller had his #5 match go into a tiebreaker set, ultimately winning (6-1, 6-7, 10-8). Ethan Hiltz was taken down in the fourth slot, narrowly falling (5-7, 6-7). Edward Lupas won the #6 match by default to round out the Cardinals with 6 points on the day.

 

The Cardinals will be back at home next Friday, April 5th when they host Lawrence Tech. The match is currently set for a noon start at the Racquet Club of Ann Arbor.
