Mens Cross Country competes at NAIA Great Lakes

(Grand Rapids, MI) Concordia men's cross country competed Saturday at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. 

 

With over 33 ranked NAIA teams, the meet was broken up into two races for the 8k event - white and elite maroon races. Concordia cross country competed in the 'white' race and took home a 30th place finish. 

 

Freshman Luke Bentz (Fort Wayne, IN) took home the first spot for the Cardinals, crossing the line at 29:47.60, just shy of a personal best. 

 

Junior Avery Sanchez (Allen Park, MI) was next to finish for the Cardinals, running 30:34.60. Teammate Teddy Eising (Sophomore; Royal Oak, MI) was seconds behind Sanchez, finishing the race at 30:38.20, a personal best for Eising. 

 

Grabbing the fourth and fifth spots for the Cardinals were Adam Dimaggio (Senior; Irmo, SC) and Noah Finley (Freshman; Monroe, MI). Dimaggio finished the 8k race in a time of 37:18.30, with Finley just behind him, running 37:32.70.
