Faith Cramton earns WHAC and NCCAA Player of the Week; Paige Anderson takes home NCCAA Pitcher of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their winners for Student-Athletes of the Week for Softball and two Concordia Cardinals Softball players took home honors. Cardinal's Faith Cramton took home WHAC Player of the Week and NCCAA Offensive Player of the Week while Paige Anderson earned Pitcher of the Week. 

 

This is the first Player of the Week honor for Cramton and the second for Anderson, after having won one last season. 

 

Cramton, a sophomore from Canton, Michigan, was near the top of the team in hits on the week with five in seven at-bats, which earned a batting average of .714 on the week. Cramton would lead the team in hits with six as she collected three doubles. 

 

 

 

Anderson, a junior from Davison, Michigan, had a record of 2-1 on the week over 17 innings pitched. She struck out 15 batters, which was tied for the team lead. Anderson allowed two earned runs on the week for a 0.82 ERA. 

 

 

The Cardinals will head to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament this week at Pacesetter Park in Sylvania, Ohio as the tournament begins on Wednesday, May 1 at 4 PM with their game against Indiana Tech.
