Women's Bowling compete at Collegiate Shoot Out

(Las Vegas, NV) - The Concordia University women's bowling team competed in their second event in Las Vegas this week as this time they participated in the 34th Annual Collegiate ShootOut. The men's team finished 19th out of 32 teams hitting a total of 7858 pins. 

 

Emilee Hughes and Shannon Gieger were the top two finishers in 33rd and 34th with 1139 and 1131 pins respectively. Gabriella Van Horn was the next top placer in 46th with 1103 pins. 

 

Bowling in three games Isabell Cooley knocked down a total of 498 pins. Alyvia Hock and Amanda Fisher also bowled three games 484 and 440 pins. Emma Price bowled two games with a total of 336 pins. Arielle Oakleyhit 130 pins in her one game. 

 

Wichita State was the top team at the tournament after hitting 9295 pins. Also from Wichita State Juliana Botero ended with 13 more pins than the second place finisher 1322 pins.  

 

The Cardinals will be back in action in just under a month as they will compete at the Kegel Collegiate Classic on January 15 and 16.
