Women's Golf competes at the Pilot Invitational as team sets program-low

(South Bend, IN) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Golf competed for the second straight time in Indiana as they would compete at the Pilot Invitational over the weekend. The team finished the event in seventh place with a team score of 385. 

 

CUAA RESULTS

Four Cardinals competed at the event as Callie Wabeke led the way after posting a score of 187. Rachel Yuhas finished five strokes behind her after recording a score of 192. Amelia Black and Lilly Alaspa rounded out the CUAA golfers with scores of 197 and 209. 

 

ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS

The team would wind up setting the two-round low score with a 785. 

 

Two Cardinals would also enter the two-round lows with Callie Wabeke at 187, the eighth lowest. Rachel Yuhas' score of 192 was also the ninth-lowest score in the program's history. 

 

TOURNAMENT RECAP

The host team in Bethel University would take both the team and individual championship as the team posted a score of 623 and Jessica Shurety shot a 151. 

 

NEXT UP

The team's next match will be next week, April 24 and 25 as they will compete at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Spring Invitational as they round out the 2022-23 season.
