WHAC PREVIEW: Women's Golf set to tee off at WHAC Championships

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia Cardinal's women's golf team will tee off for the final time of the season as they will compete at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships over the next two days.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS

The Cardinals enter the WHAC Championships with a team average of 100.39 a round. The Cardinals will see Lilly Alaspa, Amelia Black, Callie Wabeke, and Rachel Yuhas all tee off at the event. 

 

The Cardinals have entered the record books multiple times this season as they have set program records for both two and three-round events with scores of 785 and 1171. 

 

Earlier in the season the Cardinals competed at the same course for the WHAC Fall Preview which was also held at the Stonehedge North Golf Course. CUAA finished in 11th place with a score of 399. Callie Wabeke finished the event in a tie for 16th place with a score of 86.

WHAC PREVIEW

UNOH has the lowest scoring average on the season at 315.3, more than 15 strokes ahead of Indiana Tech in second at 331.9. The Racers also have the top five individual scoring averages in the conference, all at 80.0 strokes or below, led by Zoe Wuermli and her 76.9 average.

WHAC HISTORY

UNOH won the WHAC Championship last season by 34 strokes over Indiana Tech who landed in second place. Zoe Wuermli won the individual portion with a three round score of 228. The Cardinals did not have a team score at the event last season, but were led by Rachel Yuhas who shot a 296.
