Women's hockey falls in overtime 4-3

The Cardinals recognized lone senior Emily Greer at the start of the game.

Rose Lennon played a complete game with 30 saves.

The first period had no goals but had some close shots by Sydney Orkisz, Makayla Steinmetz, and Grace Dodgson.

Concordia scored the first goal of the game 4:48 into the period. Sienna Basile scored with an assist from Makayla Steinmetz and Jenna Peet. The Lakers got their first goal only a couple of minutes later at 12:37 and were able to get 2 more by the end of the period. Despite strong defense. 

Both teams came out with an immediate intensity to the 3rd period. Makayla Steinmetz scored the team's second goal assisted by Lauren Benoit and Tiffany Jentz. 8:59 into the period Makayla Steinmetz scored her second goal assisted by Emma Shore and Grace Dodgson. With the score now tied 3 to 3 both teams fought hard for a 4th goal but the game went to overtime. 

Overtime started 3v2 as the Lakers finished a penalty. Concordia had 6 shots but was unable to get a goal. The Lakers scored with only 12 seconds left leaving the final score 3-4.
