Women's Hockey fall in series finale at #10 Michigan-Dearborn

(Dearborn, MI) – Concordia women's hockey traveled to #10 Michigan-Dearborn to close out their weekend series. The Cardinals were narrowly outshot 31-30 in the contest but fell by a final score of 4-0.

 

Eva Kingston played a complete game in net with 27 saves. Concordia outshot the Wolverines 8-7 in the frame while both teams received two powerplays. UM-Dearborn scored first and held a 1-0 lead after the first period.

The second period was even more chippy with 4 penalties to the Cardinals and 2 to the Wolverines. UM-Dearborn tacked on two more goals and held a 3-0 lead after two periods.

Concordia once again outshot the Wolverines 15-12 in the third period as they looked to break the shutout. The Cardinals had two promising powerplays early in the frame, but UM-Dearborn added one more goal and took the 4-0 shutout win.

 

Concordia will travel to Aquinas on Friday, February 2 to begin a weekend series.
