Women's Hockey comes back to take down Massachusetts on the road

(Hadley, MA) Concordia Women's Hockey headed out East for a matchup against Massachusetts Friday evening. The Cardinals gave up the first goal of the game, but responded with three unanswered to win the game 3-1 in the end.

Eva Kingston started between the pipes for Concordia, stopping 27 shots and only allowing one goal. That score came just three minutes into the game on an unassisted goal. Makayla Steinmetz and the Cardinals answered back within two minutes to knot the game back up with a power play goal.

The second period was filled with penalties from both sides, although neither side was able to take the lead despite the many power play chances. Tiffany Jentz scored the eventual game winner late in the period during a 4 on 4 portion of the game.

Sienna Basile scored an empty net goal with 15 seconds left in the game to secure the 3-1 win for Concordia.

The Cardinals will take on Massachusetts once again on Saturday, February 17th. Puck drop is set for 10:20 AM at the Mullins Center in Hadley, Massachusetts.
